Your hot market can be an intimidating group to talk to, especially when you’re just starting out. These are the people who love you and know you. But they know you so well, that they won’t respect you at all in Network Marketing. So, I’m going to give you a strategy to approach your hot market in a way that is comfortable.
This strategy will be extremely helpful for those who are just starting in Network Marketing. What is your number one goal when first starting out? Getting your money back, right? When you start out, you are concerned about getting a return on your investment. So, this strategy will not only help you talk to your hot market, but also get your investment back.
The hot market approach is basically this: call up your friend or family member and say, “Listen, I’ve gotten involved in a business. Don’t worry, I’m not going to try to recruit you, but I do need your help. I have a product/service that I really like a lot, and I need somebody that I know and trust to try the product and give me some feedback. Will you try the service or buy the product, use it for the next 30 days, and then give me your feedback?”
You’re not asking them to become a long-term customer. You just want them to use it once. If they love it, fantastic! If not, then promise you won’t bother them again.
It’s like if you open a restaurant. Your hot market is going to be the people you invite to opening night to support you and pay for a meal. If the food’s great, they’re going to come back and be loyal to the establishment. If the food’s terrible, they’re going to lie to you, tell you it was wonderful, and then find a way to never come back. It’s the same with your product or service.
But the greatest thing your hot market will give you with this strategy is confidence and a return on your investment. You will feel better and excited because you didn’t get shot down by your hot market. So many people are nervous when they first join Network Marketing. They go to their hot market, get shot down, and then have to deal with the psychic damage. But by simply asking your hot market to try your product or service, you will have a positive experience, build confidence, and build profitability. Then, you can go to your warm market with more passion and excitement.
