The
Buzzard, The Bat, and the Bumblebee
If you put a buzzard in a pen six or eight
feet square and entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of his ability to
fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a
flight from the ground with a run of ten or twelve feet. Without space to run,
as is his habit, he will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner
for life in a small jail with no top.
The
ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the
air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on the floor or flat
ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully,
until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the
air. Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.
A
Bumblebee if dropped into an open tumbler will be there until it dies, unless
it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in
trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will seek a
way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.
In
many ways, there are lots of people like the buzzard, the bat and the bee. They
are struggling about with all their problems and frustrations, not realizing
that the answer is right there above them.

about money and scrimp,
but he would never skimp
when it came to his own clothing.
2)The stationery
department, where they sell envelopes and writing paper, is in a stationary
place.
3)There is a town statute
making it against the law for people of small stature
to climb on the park's statue
of the mayor.
5)Sympathy — see empathy
7)The highly touted

him a lesson.

Don’t
Complain -SEE THE
BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS
Stop
worrying . Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your
life now.
- If you
find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this
world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
- Should
you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for
years
- Should
you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has
never known what it's like to love and be loved in return
- Should
you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire
straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her
children
- Should
your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the
paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
- Should
you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in
chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
- Should
you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking
what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long
enough to get the opportunity.
- Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them
