Best DSLR Cameras For Beginners 2018 - Best Beginner DSLR 2018 Hey there, my name's Chris Winter and in this video, I'm going to go through some of the Best DSLR For Beginner Photography so you can get an idea of which camera might be best for you. But anyway let us get on to today's question. ———————— So today's question asks: "Hey Chris, I'm 17 and have been saving up to get a DSLR. I love photography and have used my uncle's camera, so can't wait to get one. What cameras would you recommend for a beginner like me?" First off, I'm so stoked for you wanting to get into photography. I started photography properly at around your age and it's been an awesome journey ever since. And fortunately there are quite a lot of DSLR's on the market these days which make it easy to learn on, so let's take a look now. Now if you're on a real budget, I'd take a look at a couple of older DSLR's first to learn the basics. These are actually pretty cheap these days when you buy them second hand. For example, you could take a look at a camera like this one here. This is the Nikon D3100 and it's a little older now, but it's definitely a great one to look at if you're starting out. You can pick this up for about $150 dollars including a lens which is an awesome price to learn your settings such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Another older camera I'd recommend is the Canon T2i or T3i. The Canon T2i was actually my first Canon DSLR and it's small and has great image quality. It also shoots in 1080p which is awesome. The Canon T3i is even better because it has an articulating screen which flips out to make it easier to compose your shots. If you're looking for something a little newer, I'd look at the Canon T6 or Nikon D3400. These were the most popular beginner DSLR's from last year and are pretty similar in specs. Both of these are also pretty small as well which is great because it means you're not worrying about lugging around a huge DSLR all day. One camera I'd definitely recommend though at the moment is this one right here. This is the Canon SL2 and it's brand new and one of the most popular cameras you can get right now. It's best feature is its awesome autofocus system called dual pixel which is the best autofocusing in any camera for a video I've ever tested. I love this camera as well because it's just so small. If you want that nice and small camera size, but still like the DSLR shape, I'd go for this one. It also shoots in slow motion, has a time-lapse mode and has a touchscreen which makes it super easy to use. Now although it's not specifically a DSLR, the Panasonic G7 is another camera I'd look into, especially if you're into video as well. The G7 shoots in 4k which look great, and also has that articulating screen which makes it great for shooting youtube videos. Other than that, you could also look into the Nikon D5600 or Canon T7i if you want a slightly higher level camera. But while you're just beginning, I'd highly recommend just getting out there with any DSLR you can get, and start shooting! So they were some of the Best Camera For Beginner Photography, hopefully, I helped you make a decision. I hope you have a great day, and I'll see you next time.
