Early Life and Career

Ratan Tata was born on December 28, 1937, to Naval and Soonoo Tata. He became the chairman of Tata Sons and Chairman of the Tata Trusts on March 25, 1991, following in the footsteps of his uncle JRD Tata. After 50 years with the Tata Group, he stepped down as Chairman of Tata Sons but was appointed Chairman Emeritus. Sadly, on October 9, 2024, Tata passed away at the age of 86 in a Mumbai hospital.
